The Sindhuli section of BP Highway has been closed due to the death of a child. The victims have blocked the highway since this morning demanding action against the culprits. Locals have created obstructions in Kamalamai Municipality-4 Dhungrebas under the highway and no vehicle has been able to run on the highway.
The highway has been closed since this morning and efforts are being made to reopen it, said Manoj Kumar Lama, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Sindhuli. Although the victim has been called to the office for necessary discussions since yesterday, the victim has not come, but the highway was blocked by burning tires on the road. The administration says that an attempt is being made to open the highway by consensus after calling the victims.
On Saturday, 12-year-old Shreyas Bhujel drowned while swimming in Gwangkhola. Shreyas, who is currently living in Milanchowk of Kamalamai Municipality-5, drowned in a ditch dug in the river after going for a swim with his friend.
The locals have not understood the body of the boy demanding action against the culprit and compensation for the death of Sriyas who drowned in the frozen water in a ditch dug for the construction of a concrete bridge at Gwangkhola connecting Kamalamai Municipality-4 and 6. The body is still on the spot as the victim did not understand the body of the child. Shreyas was studying in class 4 in Janata secondary school.
